最新のゴジラ映画「Godzilla Minus One」を見てきました。まだ見てない方もいらっしゃると思いますので、映画の内容に関してはここでは語りませんが、一つに気になった事を書きたいと思います。

「Godzilla Minus One」はハリウッドで制作された映画ではなく、日本で制作された映画で、それ故、映画は日本語で、英語の訳は字幕で出ていたのですが、所々、映画の画面と字幕英語のニュアンスにズレがあるように感じました。大袈裟に言うと、映画の内容を理解した通訳さんが台本を元に英語に起こしたのではなく、台本をそのまま翻訳アプリに流し込んだように感じた場面が所々ありました。

日本では英語の字幕が表示されてるか分からないのですが

もし、この映画を見る機会があり、英語の字幕が出てたら

少し注意して対訳を見てください。

Went to go see the latest Godzilla movie {Godzilla Minus One ] . The movie was made in Japan so the entire movie was in Japanese with English subtitles. 

I will not comment about the movies content to avoid being a spoiler,  but one thing that caught my attention besides the movie was the English subtitles.

The translated subtitles were all correct, but in some scenes, the words that were used didn’t seem to have the feel of what was going on the big screen . It was almost like they ran the Japanese script into a translation app, instead of using a bilingual translator that studied each scene to translate the lines
